A Cheshire barley field for you. As with most film cameras, the XA2 responds beautifully to a generous dose of natural light. Ax

Winter

Gosh, it's cold out, isn't it? Much as the festive preparations are heart-warming, it's fricken freezing everywhere else. Here are some pictures of summer to warm you back up again and remind you that t shirts, parks and beaches will come back sometime. Ax

Kew

Dear XA2 fans,

I take my camera everywhere, so my pictures are from out and about and everywhere. This composition came about after a visit to Kew Gardens. Not sure what the delightful fuzzy pink things are, but the floating pads are called Vitoria Regia, and their flowers only open fully on a cloudless night with a full moon. Ax

Why XA2s Are Good:

The Olympus XA2! Is a Japanese compact camera that was produced from 1980 - 1986. It's a scaled down version of the professional XA. However, the quality of the lens is no different at all according to some opinions I've read on the net. The kinds of colours and photos it takes rivals Lomo photography, only this is much cheaper and easier to do. This camera really favours a laid back approach to photography and involves an element of risk taking, as the results that you can get from these cameras can be pretty strange and unexpected.
